Hello everyone,

Hope all is well with you. Ive been doing fabulous and have been sticking to my goals, give me a whoop whoop!!  Ive been having friends over for dinner and hanging out. Its been really great I need that friend time ya know what I mean.  Ive been on My fitness Pal and its really helping me with watching calories and helping me understand my eating.  There is a great group of people with the mission slim possible, its been great. I havnt heard from the person who started the mission so I have taken over and I'm enjoying it. Had my friend over and she introduced me to lettuce wraps mmmmm so than when I had another friend over I introduced her to lettuce wraps they taste fantastic and the calories you save is ridiculous. My clothes are fitting so loose and that feels great :) So the lettuce wraps we had were chicken soluvaki with fat free ranch dressing and green and red peppers. So you use the big outer lettuce leafs place chicken and veg and fat free ranch dressing in center than fold bottom in first and than each side. SOOOOOOO GOOD!!! also had veggies and dip on hand for snacking. The kids had pizza and I didn't even attempt to eat one or have the urge to grab one. I think I'm down in weight but IMO not weighing myself until next Sunday. (that's part of the challenge) I feeling fab and I hope you are too cheers for now :)

Ive got news

I know that is has been a while since my last post and your all think shes fallen off and that's why she hasn't written actually quite the opposite I have found a new site called my fitness pal and it is just wonderful. This site is full of wonderful people all trying to lose weight. this site is free to use and it helps you with keeping track of calories and weight. It is so easy to use.  Ive joined a challenge Its called Mission Slim possible and I'm on team weapons of mass reduction.  Each week you have a new challenge like this week we are to eat 100 calories less than our daily allowance. We also have to give our starting measurements and weight. I'm actually running the challenge with another lady who is by the way awesome :) So I weighed my self and I'm down to 285lbs from 289lbs Ive lost a total of 42lbs, WHOOP WHOOP THAT ROCKS! What can I say about today

Wow today was something else I tell ya. I am so tired and drained I went to see a respiratory doctor I had to wait about 2 months to get in and he was really nice examined me and then at the end asked if I had any questions all I said was I am so out of it I cant even think of something to ask you. He said don't worry we will get to the bottom of this and I will send you to get a machine to monitor your sleeping patterns and then we will have answers. We suspect sleep apnea this is where you stop breathing at night and then you wake up most the time your no aware that its happening. I only know cause my hubby told me I breath funny and that some times he checks to make sure that I breathing and I wake up allot and don't wake up feeling rested. My middle son also has this problem but his is from enlarge tonsils and adenoids poor guy.  Well today for eating has been pretty good I'm really not that hungry so its been easy.  I had a whole wheat bagel and a decaf coffee this morning and for lunch i had a Bombay chicken sandwich with whole wheat bread and tomato and cucumber and light mayo soooooo good. For a snake later I had a bowl of cucumbers that was refreshing.  I haven't had dinner because I'm not really hungry but I probably should so that I don't want the junk later.  OH...I got a really nice compliment today a friend said she almost didn't approach  me at Safeway today because she was unsure it was me. She said that I looked great and that she could tell I lost weight. Its paying off this watching what I'm eating thing.  It is nice when others notice how much hard work you've done.  I know Ive got some ways to go but it just feels great.  Go figure I'm starting to feel more awake when I should be feeling sleepy, Cheers to you all :)

New findings

For all of July with the exception of one and a half days I was headache free and my eczema was on the mend. I now have given into some of the foods I stopped eating and guess what headaches are returning and my eczema is going crazy.  I wasn't going totally crazy on the junk either I was just having I small portion but even that small portion is to much, I'm not saying Ill never have a treat again but I am saying I'm more aware of what it does to me. I absolutely hate migraines and eczema both are just so irritating Id much rather not have them. So conclusion Junk= headache and eczema oh and zits too......not worth it.
So woke up feeling much better and ready to start the day. Ate really healthy and said no thanks to a lot of things unlike last night but I feel I didn't go over board I did say no thanks to cup cakes and that in it self is a win!!!  So I got the out fit I'm going to wear to my brothers wedding, I know Mom I couldn't wait my friend said everything was going really fast and it was by the time I got there it was well picked thru.  By the way I look awful in dresses just plain awful. It would fit really nice on top but the gut part OMG just bad.  I actually started laughing out loud in the change room...BAD Dress, BAD Dress!  But on the up side to that I have gone down 2 sizes. So I bought this really cute dressy blouse with ruffles its black and I went from a 4x down to a 2x.  I also bought pants that are super comfortable as well as stylish and of corse there black as well and I could have gone down to a 2x but they didn't have that size so 3x it was cause it still fit good.  Seeing the numbers going down is so awesome I cant even begin to tell you how empowering that is.  I also got Jewelry there as well It was buy one get one free and they were all on sale for $5 regular price $15-$19 each got 4 pieces for $10....Score!!!  I stopped at two shoe stores looking for the right shoes nothing then had to go into walmart for hot dogs and buns and decide to look in there shoe section and bang found 2 great dress sandals for $10 each another Score one is white and the other is turquoise.  Came home only had one hot dog and veggies and dip... pat on the back pat pat pat.  So today was a great day hope you all had a fabulous day too.

meeting up with good friends

Today Ive had an awesome day of visiting with good friends.  It was wonderful having them over and relaxing while the kids played and then we headed down to another friends house and it was a lovely time chatting and laughing and catching up. All the kids played really well together and fun was had by all.  We had a really quick breakfast of mulit grain cheeios with skim milk and no sugar. One of my sons was like moma your crazy I want sugar, I'm like let me think....... NO! After eating we all went outside and played. About 11:50am I started making chicken nuggets for the kids and my friend and I had a small whole wheat pita with turkey, tomato and lettuce with light mayo. I did add pepper and some spices to make it have a bite. Instead of fries we had veggies and dip, It was a hit there were very little veggies left.  We then headed down to our other friends house where I had some fresh cherries and  orange peppers, not together that would be gross. Then we had pita chips with artichoke dip and red pepper dip so good...... its gota be a sin. I'm not sure where I am on  the calorie front but I'm sure I'm okay. I'm going to check right now.......Actually its really good I'm pleased. for dinner I had the same type of sandwich and some fries that I made at home.  For a snack I had a piece of home made bread with soy nut butter,its an alternative to peanut butter. I now am over calories and I feel my self slipping, come on Christy get it together!!!  Tomorrow is a new day and it will be a good one. see you all tomorrow.  Cheers

its been a few days

Okay all this is what has gone on for the last couple of days.  Well on the 1st we had my husbands uncle and aunt over for a lunch time BBQ. The lunch was great we had hamburgers and fresh made buns mmm so good and lettuce from our garden.  I cut up veggies and put out dip my husband said that was a great idea and he really enjoyed it.  We did also have Timmy's doughnuts and that is where I lost it. I did have a few Tim bits and some cookies but I feel having a day to relax and have those few goodies is okay as long as I don't go over board.  I also had a few french fries and I didn't go over board on that either.  At the end of the day I did feel guilty for indulging and had to get over that. 

So today was a good eating started with a blueberry pancake with half the fat margarine and a glass of skim milk.  The blueberries were from our own garden so fresh and so good.  So for lunch/dinner we made home made pizza on pita bread.  We made one pepperoni, one cheese, and one ham and pineapple. I decided to make a tropical sauce which was a mix match of prego sauce, Bbq suace, ketchup, pineapple juice and vinager with a table spoon of brown sugar. It turned out great on the ham and pnieapple pizza.  I tell you there wasn't one slice left, the kids and I love them.  They are really low calories compared to a store bought pizza and way more tasty!!!  WE LOVE PIZZA in our house and this is a great alternative from store bought.  I had a very small ice cream cone it equaled 170 calories so not  a bad day but I have to be careful I dont go back to old habits.  I also went in the pool with the kids tonight we had a lot of fun. Think I'm going to end this day with a yogurt and cheerios. Have a good night all.
